As we celebrate our 50th anniversary, Blairgowrie Riding for the Disabled is looking for a new horse to join our gang as our lessons are so popular we now have a waiting list!

As you might expect, it takes a very special animal to be a Riding for the Disabled horse and a good temperament and willing nature are top of our list. And they must like having their photo taken as we love showing off our fabulous four-legged friends!

We now offer lessons for both adults and children, so ideally we are looking for a 14.2hh-15.2hh weight carrier (ie a cob type) about 10-16 years old, although we would consider ages a couple of years either side.

Sensible, well-schooled and easy to catch, handle, shoe etc are also key requirements.

Our horses and ponies are very much loved and very well looked after (in other words, spoiled!) and we are more than happy to show any prospective sellers round our facilities.

We are willing to consider either buying or taking a horse on loan, so if you know of a suitable animal, please do get in touch.
