We are heartbroken to say that our beautiful girl Erin crossed the rainbow bridge today.
Gentle and kind, loving and sweet, Erin helped countless children and adults learn to ride over many, many years – always willing, always patient and always without fuss.
Erin was the perfect Riding for the Disabled pony and we often said we would be the luckiest group around if we could clone her.
We were so proud of her when she received her well-deserved long-service medal from Princess Anne in October.
The matriarch of our herd, Erin ruled the roost in our field – everyone knew that our dear old girl would have first pick of the hay and decide who could join her in the shelter. And we loved her for it!
Her passing is particularly hard to bear as our we also lost our gentle giant Claire just a few short months ago following a very sudden illness. She too was a much-loved part of our group with her gentle ways and kind heart. We were lucky to have these two beautiful horses in our lives.
We are very fortunate to have recently welcomed some new additions to our herd and we will introduce them shortly, but for now, we pay tribute to our two lovely friends, Erin and Claire.
Run free, sweet girls. x
