Thank you, thank you, thank you!
We are absolutely thrilled to reveal that Blairgowrie Riding for the Disabled has won £1000 in the Benefact Group’s Movement for Good awards – and it’s all thanks to those who very kindly nominated us for this amazing prize.
Our group was one of a number across the country to benefit from this round of awards and the prize will make a huge difference to the work we do with disabled people throughout our community.
Our chair, Rhona Christie, said: ““The Riding for the Disabled Association motto – It’s what you can do that counts – sums up our group.
“Adults and children who have riding lessons with us have all
sorts of conditions, from physical to neurodiverse. The lessons make a huge difference to their quality of life, behaviour and wellbeing.
“Carers and parents comment on the difference it makes to their lives too. All our volunteers join us because they can help looking after ponies and also make improvements in the lives of others.”
We are very grateful to the Benefact Group and everyone who supported us. And there’s even more good news – we have been given an opportunity to be put forward for another award!
All you have to do is visit https://movementforgood.com/?utm_source=Email-giving&utm_campaign=MFG-winners-health&cmp=1&utm_medium=HTMLEmail#nominateACharity and nominate Blairgowrie Riding for the Disabled – RDA Group.
From all of here at Blairgowrie RDA, a huge thank you again for your support – it means the world to us!
